Tell us about the process of implementing Showpad.

We have six offices, and they are separated into two sales teams. One is pure trading sales, while the others call and mail all over the world to get the best prices for our customers to trade the products we distribute. We have technical salespeople who are almost all PhDs in veterinary medicine, providing our customers with technical knowledge about the products and helping them with their problems. So we sell them real solutions to their issues.

What were some of the business challenges you faced before Showpad?

Many companies have tons of brochures and leaflets, many without dates or clear indications of where to find them. Nobody really knew what we had.

Build vs. Buy

The first thing we did was look at building our own app — a real Impextraco app with all solutions built in and all the technical files ready, so we could have our own app in the app store. We spoke to many companies that develop such apps. It seemed that it was very expensive to keep them up to date and very difficult — quite hard work. Every iOS update had to be followed up. So Showpad was the right solution for us because they do the backend management. They keep everything running 24/7 on all devices, and we can handle the content. That’s the whole point of having Showpad: we create the content, and they manage the technical details.

What kinds of results has Impextraco seen after using Showpad?

Salespeople are much more eager to share files and brochures with customers. Before, they were a bit reluctant to give out a company brochure or a specialty brochure, but now they just share it because it’s easy and free with Showpad. Now we know they’re sharing the right logo, the right brochure, and the right content. That’s very important to us.

How will you expand your business using Showpad?

Of course, we are going to expand our business because, as I learned today, it’s grow or go. We are evolving and growing. The African market, for example, is a very large growing market, and we now have an office there. As you know, Africa is a continent that uses mobile phones and tablets much more than computers. I think the salespeople there will rely on Showpad to get information to customers.

What are some of the benefits of using Showpad?

First, all our assets and documents are now documented and organized, which is good for us. Second, everybody uses the same assets and documents from Brazil to China, so it’s nice to know everyone is using the right documents. Lastly, everybody knows what we have because they see it on Showpad. They’re more eager to share, which is good for sales and good for our company.
