Tell us about Kanthal. What made you realize the need to add digital tools to your processes?
Kanthal was founded in 1931, and we’ve been part of the heating technology industry since 1997 as a member of the Sand Group.
There were several reasons that made us realize we needed to add digital tools to become more efficient and intelligent. We believe that our customers today want to engage with us in a different way, often going online to learn more about us.
What were the key business challenges that drove your investment into sales enablement?
There were three key business challenges that led us to invest in sales enablement.
- Cost-effectiveness — We were doing a lot of non-digital activities but weren’t getting much return.
- Measurability — We needed to understand the effects of our actions, when we should make changes, and what strategies to focus on.
- Wider reach — We needed to find new contacts and grow our business.
Why did you choose Showpad, and what are the key benefits you’ve seen?
After evaluating our options, we chose Showpad because we were already using it, and it was a natural fit. The three key benefits we see with Showpad are:
- Accessibility — We have everything gathered on one platform.
- Professional appearance — We come across as more polished when meeting customers.
- Intelligence — We can see the impact of our actions.
Our partnership with Showpad has been successful because of their flexibility. Showpad continuously evolves their tool, adding new features that we can use and evaluate.
What advice would you give to companies starting their digital transformation journey?
When it comes to digital transformation, my advice is:
- Start small — Focus on introducing one thing at a time and ensure everyone is on board.
- Build a strong relationship with sales — If you’re not aligned with sales, it will be difficult to get them to adopt new tools and ways of working.
- Be persistent — You can’t change a company’s behavior overnight. It requires continuous training and gradual implementation.
Our experience working with Showpad has been great, and we look forward to continuing our partnership.
