Spyderco Tenacious Review

Honestly, I didn’t want to write Spyderco Tenacious Review, the network is full of good and full of reviews about this knife. However, after some time of active operation and testing of Tenacious, I came to the conclusion that this knife ratings based more on emotions and not entirely objective, that in no way diminishes their value, but I have my own point of view. So I do not quite share the enthusiasm and admiration of this knife. Knife unquestionably well-cut, comfortable, lightweight and compact. At the same time one of the cheapest in the line of folders Spyderco.

The knife is made perfectly, the quality is beyond praise. Knife sharpening magnificent, liner becomes exactly in the middle of the heel of the blade, providing a secure fit. No backlash, good bead on the liner keeps the blade in the closed position. The clip is tight, such as it is necessary, involves the installation of all four positions. Well let’s look at characteristics of Spyderco Tenacious.

Blade length: 3.4″

The Grip

The handle of this knife is very comfortable and balanced. The handle has a flat steel liners. Flat dies from G10 leave much room for customization – Tenacious dies can be safely replaced with carbon, wood, etc. In general, Tenacious confidently holds the triple place after MULE Spyderco frequency embellishment handle. The clip is a standard, three screws, four-engraved spider and lanyard hole or axial screw. The handle is conveniently fits in your hand, the G-10 is pleasant to the touch and not as aggressive as on the AK-47, as well as not so black, I would say: very dark gray. Deep recess allows without much fear that the fingers slip on the knife blade. Through holes for mounting clips, in the region of the axial screw, personally I do not seem to be the best solution, since there is the probability of getting them through various debris.

The Blade

Knife Blade carries standard spayderhol (round hole) 0.5″. Excellent smooth descents from the butt Tenacious allow this knife excellent cutting. Notch thumb on the butt Tenacious moderately aggressive, and even allows you to safely stretch your hand in a glove. With steel 8Cr13MoV I have not met before, but the reviews about it on the whole positive. Indeed, easy to sharpen a knife and sharpening keeps pretty well, according to my subjective feelings somewhere in the AUS-8 level. Direct analogues in the steel no. This knife cuts and splits wonderful!

The overall impression of the Spyderco Tenacious Review

Certainly it is a knife, which should be everyone who is interested in knives. It is inexpensive, but has excellent mechanics. Tenacious not full lines pretentious, but comfortable and uhvatist in ANY palm. It can not be attributed to the premium class, but he has to rearrange clips and bronze washers between the blade and dies. Tenacious is made of steel 8Cr13MoV budget, but great cuts! Is this not a reason to buy it? I bought – and you?

  1. Just ordered this for a edc, never carried a knife before except in my chest rig in the military so when I started looking I was actually surprised to see the prices. Thanks for the review on something affordable nutn

  2. Nice post. I used to be checking continuously this weblog and I am impressed! Extremely helpful information specially the remaining phase 🙂 I handle such information a lot. I used to be looking for this particular information for a long time. Thanks and good luck.

  3. I think that spyderco knives are the most hideous looking knives I have ever seen. But I have held a spyderco paramilitary before and the ergonomics of that knife blew me away. There is beauty in function I suppose. So i started looking for a spyderco at an affordable price point that was bigger than a 2 inch blade. After watching this review I believe I am going to replace one of my edc knives with this one, i’ll probably sell my Gerber remix, the novelty of the design has worn off and the slow deployment of the blade has always irked me. The tenacious will probably be behind my favorite edc knife the Gerber truss 2.5 and my Kershaw vapor which is a very sweet handling knife in my opinion.
